The 2019 Dodge Journey comes standard with a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that comes paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. This engine produces 173 horsepower and 166 lb-ft of torque, and gives the Journey the ability to tow 1,000 pounds. The optional 3.6-liter V6 engine adds more abilities with 283 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, and this engine pushes the SUV’s towing capacity to 2,500 pounds. This particular engine comes paired with the 6-speed automatic transmission.

Interior Space & Cargo Room

The 2019 Journey is a great choice if you’ve got a growing family, because it can accommodate five to seven passengers. The vehicle includes three rows of seating for the passengers, with about 10.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row. Passengers in the front row get 40.8 inches of head- and legroom, while middle-row passengers get 39.9 inches of headroom and 36.1 inches of legroom. Third-row passengers are offered 37.7 inches of headroom and 23.4 inches of legroom.

The last two rows include the 60/40 split middle bench and the 50/50 split third row bench, both which can be partially folded to fit longer cargo materials, or they can be folded completely to open up the overall cargo area to 67.6 cubic feet of space.

Entertainment & Technology Features

The Dodge Journey comes outfitted with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display that’s mounted into the dashboard, and it can be used to make media selections to play through the vehicle’s 6-speaker sound system. The vehicle includes an AM/FM radio and both a USB port and an auxiliary input for portable media devices. Drivers have the option of including the 1-year trial subscription of SiriusXM® Satellite Radio. Other upgrade options include an 8.4-inch touchscreen, voice recognition technology, a Garmin® Navigation System, and premium Alpine® speakers with a subwoofer.
