Under the Power Wagon's Hood

The Power Wagon will come equipped with a standard 6.4-liter HEMI 16-valve V8 engine, and it will produce 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. The truck has unique engine calibration which enhances its ability to maneuver off-road. Mechanisms include variable valve timing, cooled exhaust-gas recirculation, and a Fuel Saver cylinder-deactivation technology. Linked to the engine is a 66RFE six-speed automatic transmission. The unique suspension has modified control arms, Bilstein shocks, more than two inches of lift, and spring rates. The front has an advanced three-link front suspension, while there is a segment-exclusive five link coil suspension for the rear. This unique configuration leads to a best-in-class ride and best-in-class handling. With the suspension lift and large tires, the Power Wagon has 14.3-inches of ground clearance and an approach angle of 33.6 degrees.

Design of RAM Power Wagon

Even though the Power Wagon is based on the 2500 Heavy Duty 4x4 Crew Cab, it shares design characteristics with the rugged RAM 1500 Rebel. There are many amazing features making their debut on the Power Wagon for 2017, including an all-new grille that has prominent RAM letter badging in Billet Silver. There are many design nods to the 1970s-era Power Wagons, including the popular thick vertical "Power Wagon" stripe behind the cab. The interior has new color and material options, including a tire tread pattern and Diesel Gray/Black seats. Leather seating is also an option with the Power Wagon. The fantastic 8.4-inch Uconnect system has an off-road theme, and the 7-inch cluster display has unique startup graphics. A six-speaker sound system is standard, as is wireless streaming and a media hub with USB and auxiliary ports. The all-weather, "deep dish" floor mats are much-appreciated when it comes to containing snow, dirt, mud, and other debris. The equipment list is almost endless, and can include standard and available content like the RamBox cargo management system, a spray-in bedliner, power-adjustable pedals, and remote engine start.
