RAM Announces ProMaster Van Lineup for 2019

The 2019 lineup for RAM's Promaster vans has been announced, and the big focus seems to be added capability as both payload and towing capability have been increased. The Promaster and Promaster City Vans also get an updated exterior, including a  new front fascias that integrates the RAM grille theme that is currently used in the automaker's pickup line. RAM has also announced new fleet-friendly technologies such as telematics. Ram Telematics allows for tracking vehicle and driver behavior data to help save money on fuel, improve route efficiency and promote safe driving. It offers real-time vehicle diagnostics and performance data.

The 2019 Ram ProMaster City

The 2019 Ram ProMaster City is a perfect choice for those who have commercial customer needs in a more compact package, yet is is impressivly modern and professional looking.  The City comes in either a two-seat Tradesman cargo van or a five-seat passenger wagon configuration. For the 2019 model year there will be two trims - Tradesman and SLT.  While there are certainly other options on the market for a smaller commercial van, The ProMaster City offers many advantages. These include best-in-class Payload (1,885 pounds), Cargo volume (131.7 cubic feet ), Horsepower and Torque (178 hp / 74 lb.-ft.), and more. 

The 2019 Ram ProMaster

The 2019 Ram ProMaster is the big brother to the City model. For 2019 there are three new models available:  ProMaster 2500 Cargo Van 136-inch wheelbase low roof, ProMaster 3500 Cargo Van 136-inch wheelbase low roof, and ProMaster 3500 Cargo Van 136-inch wheelbase high roof.  The ProMaster also gets improved capability, with a maximum payload of 4,680; the highest payload of any Class 2 cargo van on the market today.  A new Trailer-tow Group is available that will give you a Class IV receiver hitch with four- and seven-pin wiring harness.  The RAM ProMaster is packed with upfitter-friendly technology such as a Vehicle System Interface Module (VSIM) with 13 inputs and 41 outputs (54 total). The 2019 Ram ProMaster will be available in 18 configurations and will offer an exclusive front-wheel-drive system that keeps the cargo-load-floor height and step-in height very low. It also helps in low-traction surfaces.
